Privacy notice
Last updated 19 October 2026
This notice covers our enquiry page: the page people reach from our Google and Meta (Facebook and Instagram) ads, its form, and the thank-you page. It explains what we collect when you use them, why, and who else sees it. For the rest of our website, see the privacy policy on our main site.
Who we are
Automated Machinery Services ("AMS", "we", "us") is an industrial electrical contractor with bases in Jamisontown and on the Central Coast, NSW. You can reach us on 0479 106 887.
What we collect
- What you type into a form: your name, business, phone number, email address, the suburb and region of your site, what you'd like information on and, if you choose energy efficiency, a rough range for your monthly power bill and whether you'd like our free Power Factor Guide. You don't have to fill in every field, but we need a name and a phone number or email to reply.
- How you found us: the ad campaign, ad group, ad and search keyword that brought you here (these come from labels on the ad's link), the click IDs that Google and Meta add to their ad links, which version of the page the ad sent you to, and the website that sent you, if any.
Your browser keeps the "how you found us" details for up to 90 days, so that if you come back and send a form later we still know which ad brought you. They stay on your device unless you send a form. Clearing your browser's site data removes them.
We don't ask for payment details or other sensitive information on these pages.
Why we collect it
- To reply to your enquiry and send you the information you asked for.
- To keep a record of the enquiry so whoever follows it up has the full picture.
- To see which of our ads bring in real enquiries, so we can stop paying for the ones that don't.
We don't sell your details, and we won't add you to a marketing mailing list.
Ad measurement: Google Ads and Meta
Our enquiry page uses the Google Ads tag and the Meta pixel. They tell Google and Meta when someone who clicked one of our ads visits a page, sends a form or taps to call us. To do that, they may set cookies or use similar technology in your browser, and Google and Meta receive information such as the page address, your device and browser, and the ad click ID.
When you send a form, your email address and phone number may be shared with Google and Meta in hashed form, so they can match your enquiry to an ad click. Hashing turns them into a scrambled code before they leave your browser. Google and Meta can only match that code against details they already hold, for example if you're signed in to a Google, Facebook or Instagram account with the same email or phone number. They use the match to report to us how many enquiries our ads produced, and to help show our ads to people more likely to be interested.
Google and Meta handle this information under their own privacy policies. You can limit it:
- Google: turn off personalised ads in My Ad Center.
- Meta: change your ad preferences in Facebook or Instagram settings.
- Your browser: block or clear cookies, block third-party cookies, or use a private window or a tracker-blocking extension. The page and its form still work if you do.
Who receives your enquiry
When you send a form, your details go to two places:
- AMS: our job management system, where our team follows up enquiries.
- MANDA OS: MANDA OS runs AMS's advertising and manages these enquiries on AMS's behalf. It receives everything you typed into the form and the "how you found us" details above.
Where your details are stored
Our job management system, our enquiry page and the tools we use to run them are provided by service providers, MANDA OS among them. Some of them may store or process data outside Australia, including in the United States. Google and Meta also process data in many countries.
We take reasonable steps to protect your details from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. We keep enquiry records only for as long as we need them for our business and legal record-keeping.
Access, correction and complaints
You can ask what details we hold about you, ask us to correct them, or ask us to delete an enquiry. This includes the copy MANDA OS keeps for us. Call us on 0479 106 887. We'll respond within 30 days.
If you have a complaint about how we've handled your details, please contact us first so we can try to fix it. If you're not happy with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
